Pharmacologic Management of Behavioral Disorders in Children

The overwhelming majority of psychotropic medications are prescribed in the primary care setting. The presentation reviews a series of case studies from the primary care setting with subtle indicators of the correct diagnosis which will best direct pharmacotherapy.

Dr. Sally Miller has been practicing as a nurse practitioner for 30 years. She is board certified as a family NP, Adult/Geriatric Acute and Primary NP, and Psych/Mental Health NP. Dr. Miller is a clinical professor with Drexel University College of Nursing and Health Professions. She maintains an active clinical practice with Sahara Family Practice and Theravada Wellness. Sally has published over 30 research and clinical articles with emphasis on issues related to adult health and illness as well as obesity. She has been an active conference presenter and author in the NP community since 1996.
